SELLER SAYS: A great looking 1950 VH500 Ariel. An engine overhaul 240km or four years ago and I’m just not riding it enough, when it should be out and about. It’s not original, and was previously used in classic track racing. There are several mods including 100/90-19 front and rear wheels, MAX GPS speedo, ignition key, electronic ignition, 12 volt system with AGM battery, springer front and large fuel tank.
The springer front and large fuel tank are Indian-made from Enfield country. The original tank with new paint and new knee pads is included, as with a few specialist tools. Both tanks have been sealed with Caswell tank sealer. The oil tank has been modified with no internal filter. The tyres should be replaced and there looks like an oil leak from the pushrod tubes when I started it today.
The primary drive cover had been cut when it was raced, and I have sikaflexed it together when in position. Frame# AB1078, Engine# EJ2361X (Not clearly visible on the outside), Gearbox# G90F49. It was on club rego in the Northern Territory and will be sold unregistered. Freight is the buyer’s expense and I can help with dropping it to a transport company.
