Stunning carbon fibre Mike Hailwood 900
One of Australia’s best-known rebuilt and restored bevel-drive Ducati sports bikes is now for sale on The Bike Shed Times.
The 1982 Ducati 900 MHR was subject to a thorough ground-up rebuild by Sydney Ducati specialists Gowanloch Ducati in 2013, then fitted with a full set of superb carbon fibre bodywork. The bike has had two owners and travelled less than 3000km since the Gowanloch restoration. A full set of spotless MHR bodywork is also available for sale to the purchaser, for $3,000.
The bike’s current owner describes its condition as “near perfect”.
“I’m not going to say its perfect, but I tell you what – it’s pretty bloody close,” he says. “You would never believe the restoration was done a decade ago. It looks and rides as fresh as a daisy.”
