Yamaha RD250LC for sale

SELLER SAYS: Rare original-spec Yamaha 1982 RD 250LC. I worked for Ken George Yamaha and sold these bikes when they were new. I’ve owned this bike (as the second owner) since October 2000 when I originally rescued and restored it from the ground up and been riding it ever since. Engine is meticulously rebuilt and maintained as a ‘keeper’. Includes being rebored (0.5mm oversize) and crank rebuilt using existing crank components from this bike (but now with benefit of rebuild-able centre web). Both by motorcycle engine guru, Dean Harrison (before he passed). Bike has been garaged, kept dry and maintained and ridden regularly ever since. It has done just over 3000km since rebuild so engine still very ‘fresh’. It is currently on vintage club concessional licence. Matching numbers original Western Australian delivered with original Australian compliance plate. As far as possible, all original parts (including handlebar) as fitted 40 years ago when new. Forks rebuilt and legs hard-chromed in 2000 and still look and work better than new. Legendary first of Yamaha liquid cooled (LC) RD two-stroke models. Contact Peter on 0457 746 476 (Thornlie – Perth, Western Australia).
