EDITOR TERLICK SAYS: There can’t be anything more British than a British Racing Green Triumph, surely. And when it’s celebrating 100 years of Triumph’s existence, well, heck — it’s nearly enough to bring a tear to the eye of anyone from the old dart. The Daytona was one of modern Triumph’s foundation models and, while very early models had a few niggles, they were well and truly sorted by the time the 21st Century arrived. By 2002, the Daytona was a wonderful piece of kit — perhaps not as razor-sharp on the race track as the open-class sports bikes coming out of Japan, but beautifully made, lovely to look at, plenty fast and — perhaps best of all — boasting a three-piston symphony you won’t hear anywhere else. This bike of Pete’s looks like an excellent, unmolested example that would be a lovely regular ride or a worthy addition to any collection. Learn more here.
