Basic specifications of the ’91 model were 145 horsepower and 497 pounds – heavy nowadays. A Modern Classic review on Bennetts describes the 1100 Gixxer by saying “on the open road it was astonishing. Fast and torquey like nothing else I’d ridden, but nimble too, feeling like what I imagined a proper race bike would as it flicked from left to right on the smallest of rider inputs.” Never crashed, wheels are excellent condition, tyres are Pirelli’s with 70% tread.
