SOME of Western Australia’s best British bikes were on show at the weekend, with the running of the British Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club of WA’s 2022 Concours.

Stunning bikes on display ranged from very old to very new, from very original to very custom, and from very restored to not-so-much, with a host of trophies up for grabs.

As always, there were plenty of lovely bikes parked around the outskirts, as well as those in the competition.

We dropped in and gave the trusty Nikon a workout, and left with some nice pics. We were so inspired, we’ve even put together a 2023 calendar in celebration of beautiful Brits.

We’ve only recently learned there was such a thing as a Norton Commando Scrambler. Not many were made, and they were aimed squarely at the USA. But apparently when they arrived, the Yanks didn’t like them much at all. Most were then fitted with regular Commando kit and sold as regular Commandos. So they’re pretty rare beasts now — and finding two side-by-side is a rare event indeed. Lovely they were too.
