The Ironstone Adventure Riding Club and The Bike Shed Times are delighted to present The Bike Shed Times Capel River Classic Motorcycle Swap Meet 2024.

Being staged in conjunction with the Capel River Classic Motorcycle Show & Shine, the swap meet will give vintage and classic motorcycle enthusiasts an opportunity to trade parts and accessories to fit older (pre-2000) motorcycles.

Event promoter and The Bike Shed Times editor Peter Terlick says the Capel River Classic Show & Shine, now in its third year, provided “the perfect audience” for a classic motorcycle swap meet.

“As we all know, the only thing harder than finding old bike parts is getting rid of them!

“I’m only joking, of course, but it is often difficult to find appreciative homes for all the unwanted stuff in our sheds; just as it is difficult to find parts for our restoration projects.

“By bringing the swap meet into the Capel River event, I’m hoping we can help clear out some space in lots of sheds and also solve some headaches for people looking for parts.”

The swap meet does require registration in advance to ensure organisers provide sufficient space, but there is no cost to participate.

Participants can book one or two 3m x 3m bays, each big enough for a pit tent or trailer. Spaces are limited!
