ALMOST 2,000 bike fans turned out to reward the organisers of Perth’s third Ride On Retro Bike Show at the weekend, staged for 2018 at West Australian skateshop Soggybones.

As was the case back in 2016, the quality and diversity of machines was stunning. More than 60 custom bikes were on display, most of them vying for the coveted Ride On People’s Choice Award which was taken out by Mat at Bobber Garage in O’Connor with his incredible Harley Davidson shovel-head chopper.

In typical Ride On fashion the drinks, food and live music flowed freely. The diverse crowd was enthusiastic and full of compliments and the overall vibe was laid back but the air was buzzing all day. After taking some time to make up its mind, Perth turned on a wonderful clear day for punters to enjoy the show.

One of the event organisers, Ben Pilatti, offered thanks to all for making the show.

“Our heartfelt thanks to all who came, everyone who entered a bike in the show, our amazing media team (Jeremy Hammer of Ride Journal and Harley Loffler), the vendors, the musicians, the City of Vincent and to the legends Muzz, Justin and the rest of the Soggybones crew.

“We had such a blast doing this show that the wait for Ride On IV might be sooner than you think!”

The Bike Shed Times offer its thanks too — especially to Jeremy and Harley for offering up these marvellous photos.
