1970 BSA 650 Thunderbolt – $20,000 (Sold)

SELLER SAYS: Near concourse condition matching engine and frame numbers. Ready to show** or ride. Motor and gearbox, AMAL carb., brakes, seat reconditioned by previous owner (ie. pre 2022). Exact mileage unknown but showed 29 on delivery to me. I’ve installed a new SRM oil pump and pressure valve. Then had tank and side covers resprayed in (imported) original colour, tank relined, frame and components sand blasted, repainted in two-part black epoxy. Fitted new chrome handle bar and fittings and exhaust. Guards and other chrome pieces polished up. O/s of barrel & cylinder head cleaned and lower barrel sprayed black. New cabling, chain and chain sprockets. New Lucas wiring harness. Most nuts and bolts replaced in stainless steel, new battery installed Nov.’25. Motor tuned, electrics checked by qualified mechanic and all lubricants added in Nov. ‘25. Now registered on HMCCQ plates. Runs beautifully, looks fantastic and sounds great. Just one small (2mm dia.) paint chip mark on tank (lower-front-RHS).
**I hadn’t replaced the original mufflers in case it’s to be ridden.
