Honda Monkey bike for sale

SELLER SAYS: This Honda Z125 Monkey is a modern (2018) version of the legendary Z50 Monkey, and an upmarket version of the Honda Grom. It is in brand new condition and has very low mileage at 315km. The bike has electric start, 4-speed manual gearbox, all digital modern electrics and lighting, digital speedometer, disc brakes front and rear with ABS front braking. It has heavy-duty front forks, tool kit, alarm system, and is fitted with an after-market rear carrier. Rims are 14 inch, with fat tyres bringing the wheel size up to around 16 inches. EDITOR TERLICK SAYS: Honda’s much-loved mini-bike for grown-ups was modernised and reincarnated — but in a remarkably faithful retro way — with the Z125 Monkey. Recreated as an on-road fun bike, commuter or pop-to-the-shop machine, it recalls the Z50 of the 1960s. I don’t actually remember anyone using the term ‘monkey bike’ back then (they were a Mini Trail, right?) but yes, grown-ups do look like monkeys when they climb aboard. This modern version really has grown up though, at least compared to the old Z50. For a start, the motor is a 125. Ok, that’s not going to wrench your arms off, but it does make the bike genuinely competent around town. (I came across an article on Australian Motorcycle News where someone was brave enough to take one on a highway trip, and it performed remarkably well. Click here to see that story). It’s also physically bigger, and has a bunch of mod cons as outlined by Jim in his seller’s comments. But the styling is unmistakeable — those fat tyres, chunky seat, bulbous tank and tall handlebars take me straight back to my childhood when I first discovered the joy of motorbikes. I reckon this bike will pull a crowd of grey-headed men where-ever it goes, all keen to tell there own “when I was a boy …” bike stories. Very cool.
